DECEMBER 28th MEETING: Annual Show and Tell Did Santa bring you a wonderful Civil War item last year that you've just been dying to share with the group? Or maybe you've finished a great book about your favorite Civil War general, and have the urge to tell the world about it (or at least those of us in this world who would be interested). Then take some time out to join us for what has become a fun, annual tradition; our "Show and Tell" presentation.
At this meeting, YOU are the featured presentation, as our members share tidbits of Civil War information. Be it a new, favorite book; a family artifact, a Civil War story; or the latest find on eBay (what will Linn Hoadley bring this year?), we gather around the big table at the library and share our stuff.
Because it's so close to the holidays, this format provides a more informal evening; and we really have some of our best informational exchanges here. Not to mention, the opportunity to see things you might never have seen before (remember the Civil War drum Mike Sorenson brought one year?). Of course, you're welcome to come and just sit back and listen, as well.
If you'd like to bring a dessert or holiday goodies to share, it makes the evening that much more festive (and filling).
Please join us as we celebrate the season, and share our knowledge of the great conflict between the North and South.
